Welcome!

I'm not exactly sure what to say here except, well, welcome! My name is Jared Hughes and I am a writer, a student, and a film-maker. Well not yet on the Film making part, I'm working on that right now in college, but it doesn't hurt to say it. As of now I am working on a seven-part series of books. I won't tell you the name of the series or what it's about just yet. Not until it's eventually published. What I can tell you is that it will be unlike anything you've ever read. There are no wizards, no vampires, no werewolves, and no manner of other-worldly characters in my series, so that should tell you something. I hope to one day see my characters on bookshelves, next to the likes of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Lord of the Rings, and many other great works of Literature. Right now I'm in the editing stages of my novel and I'm currently editing the third draft. My novel is about 379 pages, so, what you'd expect a first novel to be. I am also currently writing a Query Letter, which is what you send to Agents to see if they can represent you. (I'm really nervous about sending it off to Agents. I wonder how many rejection letter's I'll get before it's accepted?) So anyway, I hope you come back to my site. I'll keep you up to date with the progress of my novel and also the progress of my career in Hollywood.
